This was the real happiness now from Ronaldo
BBC football pundit Robbie Savage alikuwa uwanjani huku Bernabeu. (quoting from BBC SPORTS)
"Maicon was not at the races at all in the first half at right-back. He
was a passenger and it was like City were playing with 10 men. Cristiano
Ronaldo kept coming inside him.
"In the second-half, Vincent Kompany
looked at what was happening and came across to that wing more. Ronaldo
did not have the beating of Kompany and he was starting to get
frustrated.
"But, even so, Marcelo was allowed to come inside more and more, as he did for his goal.
"And, for the Real Madrid winner, City let Ronaldo come inside too easily. He went past Pablo Zabaleta as if he wasn't there.
"On the sidelines, Mancini was out hammering Zabaleta because he has to stop Ronaldo at source - Maicon had a poor game but he took him off, and Zabaleta has had a shocker.
"Zabaleta was on the bench for most of the game watching Ronaldo take apart Maicon and he hasn't learned. I thought he would have seen what was happening, and he should have done."
This was how Ronaldo was rolling yesterday
You can't believe Mourinho slid yesterday to celebrate
the winning goal scored by Ronaldo.!
"If Mancini wants to play Garcia and
Barry, and he wants to play Yaya Toure in that position behind Carlos
Tevez, then he has to go out in the transfer window and buy an Xabi
Alonso type player to do that job."
"At the Bernabeu, whenever Garcia or Barry got on the
ball there were men all around them. Madrid were pressing them all over
the pitch.
"City were getting over-run, especially early on, and Real made changes and brought Mesut Ozil, Luca Modric and Karim Benzemar on when they fell behind."
"In terms of chances created, Real deserved to win the game but, having led with less than three minutes to go, City should have got at least a point.
Happy are those who score and win
"That they didn't, and they lost, was a sign of naivity from City in the Champions League.
"Real would have scored at least once in the first half
if not for Joe Hart, who was brilliant, but City were terrific in the
second half.
"After Edin Dzeko scored, they could have gone 2-0 up when Yaya Toure missed a decent chance but, with a 2-1 lead, they just have to keep the ball. They have experienced players and fantastic players on the pitch who know that, and who can do it too.
"They should have kept it tight but they didn't. It made it a great game to watch but City have to start learning in the Champions League. They were great at times against Real but that was such naive defending.
"City have to start learning - when Real were ahead, there was no way they were giving the ball away."
What happened to all his tactics?
Could Hart see two balls instead of one? No one knows.!
