Tanzania's Taifa Stars lost 4-1 on aggregate to Uganda's Cranes in the twolegged CHAN qualifier and also lost 3-0 against Egypty's Pharaohs in the AFCON qualifier.
Tanzania is not the only member of CECAFA to have dropped in the rankings as neighbouring Uganda has dropped two places and is now settled in 73rd position.
