Hugo Lloris has been the best goalkeeper in the Premier League this season, new research has revealed.
The Football Observatory have found that Lloris is statistically the best keeper in the division and the seventh best in Europe.
All of the goalkeepers of the big-five leagues in Europe - England, France, Germany, Italy and Spain - were ranked based on a number of key indicators such as minutes per goal conceded, percentage of shots saved and saves per match.
Manuel Neuer came out on top followed by Jan Oblak of Atletico Madrid and Gianluigi Buffon of Juventus.

Lloris, in seventh, was the only Premier League keeper to make it into the top 10.
So how does the Spurs shot-stopper compare to the others in the division?
To find out, Mirror Football have taken a look at the league records of every keeper to have played at least 10 matches in the Premier League this season.

Minutes per goal conceded

Hugo Lloris has by far and away the best record when it comes to minutes per goal conceded.
The France number one has conceded just one goal every 122.4 minutes of league play this season.

That's far less frequently than the keeper with the next best record, Fraser Forster, who has let in a goal once every 103.8 minutes on average.
Joe Hart has conceded one every 97.9 minutes for Manchester City, David De Gea one every 96.4 minutes for Manchester United and Petr Cech one every 96.2 minutes for Arsenal.

Percentage of shots saved

Petr Cech just edges out his fellow keepers when it comes to saving shots.
He's made 95 saves for the Gunners this season, which works out as 76.6 per cent of all the shots fired at him.

Hugo Lloris has saved 76.2% of the shots he's faced, the second best ratio in the league.
Ben Foster has saved 76% of his shots, while Fraser Forster has saved 75.5% of his shots faced and Vito Mannone has saved 75% of his.

Games per clean sheet

Joe Hart and David De Gea have the joint best records when it comes to clean sheets.
Both have gone an average of just 2.1 games for every clean sheet that they have kept in the league this season.

Petr Cech has had a clean sheet every 2.2 games on average.
Leicester's Kasper Schmeichel has had one every 2.3 games, while Fraser Forster has had one every 2.5 games. Hugo Lloris just misses out on the top five with one every 2.6 games on average.
