José Mourinho Admits Manchester United Can't Attack Like Manchester City and Liverpool
José Mourinho admits Manchester United are unable to replicate Manchester City and Liverpool's attacking threat due to their fragility in defence.
United travel to Burnley on Sunday on the back of two consecutive defeats in the premier league while the pressure continues to mount on Mourinho.
The Portuguese's playing style has been widely criticized but the 55 year of believes his defence needs to be better in order for United's attack to improve.
"We'll try. We are going to try, you know." Said Mourinho.
"It's a process that has risks especially if you make defensive mistakes that breaks that dynamic.
" The teams that are really, really good offensively are the teams that are very, very solid from the back."
Asked if United can play like City or Liverpool, "They play the way they play and we play the way we play. I don't even want to try to say something in relation to that. They are what they are and we are what we are. Against Tottenham, we were really positive and really strong and I think the opponent, a very good opponent, felt that and felt they were really in trouble. But two defensive mistakes in five minutes lost the game for us.
