Phil Thompson: "Mourinho doesn't trust Rashford" 



Former Liverpool player Phil Thompson believes that Marcus Rashford would get more opportunities to showcase his talents if his manager actually trusted him. 


Rashford impressed on England duty as he scored in both of their games in this international break, and put in an all-round impressive display particularly in the game against Switzerland. 


The Man Utd product has only started once this season, with his manager opting for Romelu Lukaku in the no. 9 position in the three games since then. 


'Rash is a very talented boy, is he going to for in at Manchester United? I don't think so.' The ex-defender told  'Sky Sport' 


'I don't think there's a trust from the manager to the player that he can do on a regular basis. That's why he is only coming into the team now and again.' 


"He is only 20 years old and he probably needs a little more time and I think this season is a big season for him. Come the end of the season he then has to make the decisions."
