Arsenal fan loses HIS HOUSE in Manchester United bet

A story has emerged in Uganda of an Arsenal fan losing his house on Sunday's result at Old Trafford.
Manchester United and Arsenal's clash at the weekend was one of the most keenly anticipated matches of the Premier League season so far.

A decisive header from Robin van Persie meant there were no shared spoils, with the home side securing a major victory over a recently resurgent Arsenal.

It also meant the countless wagers around the world between fans were settled, with Gary Neville taking £5,000 off Piers Morgan, which went to charity.

High stakes to you and me, but pocket change compared to the gamble made by one man in Uganda.
African news website Supersport runs the story that an Arsenal fan has lost his house in a failed bet on the result:
"A staunch Arsenal fan in Iganga District in Eastern Uganda is searching for a new home for his family after losing his house in a bet over a game between English clubs Arsenal and Manchester United.
"Before the two heavyweights faced off on Sunday in the league, Henry Dhabasani staked his two-roomed house in a bet with a one Rashid Yiga that Arsenal would win the game."

Amazingly, that's not the wildest side of the bet. If the Arsenal had won... the would have won the United fan's wife!

"On his part, Yiga staked his new Toyota Premio car and his wife that Manchester United would win."

And if Arsenal fan Henry Dhabsani thought his rival would not carry through the bet, he was certainly wrong:
"Dhabasani, married to three wives with five children, fainted at the end of the match on realizing Arsenal had lost the game 1–0.
"On Monday, several Manchester United fans stormed Dhabasani’s home and threw him and his family out."

Consider this a word of warning before making any bets of your own in the future....
What is the craziest bet you have made on football?
